2021 was a hectic year for Liz Black X. You can’t necessarily tell it from the number of posts posted, but a lot was going on behind the scenes. Lizblackx.nl has transitioned from twice-weekly personal blogs to a weekly fictional tale and many, many toy reviews.
The change has been gradual. My favourite memes have either stopped or become less frequent.
Fiction – Tantalizing Tales
May More invited me to join as a writer on her Medium publication Tantalizing Tales. I jumped at the opportunity, but it did mean I had to produce one story per week. Writing fiction is what I love to do most, but it does take a lot of effort. These are my top stories from Tantalizing Tales:
Dark Erotica
Next to Tantalizing Tales, I’ve also written darker stories for different publications. It’s so much fun to dip into the darker side of my soul and share them with the community.
Sex Toy Reviews
I have also been blessed with many opportunities to review sex toys by different companies. I love trying out new toys and sharing my experiences with you. I’ve literally tried toys from all over the world. I still find it hard to believe that big brands like Womanizer and Betty’s Toy Box are willing to work with me. And the brand Liebe Seele may not be as well known as those two, but their products are of such high quality, I feel honoured to work with them too.
Memes
2021 is also the year in which I began running my memes. I started Erotic Fiction Deluxe to give back to the community, which I enjoy so much. I took over the Oral Sex Project from Marie. Both are fun projects to work on.
Audio and Video
I didn’t only write this year. I’ve also shared audio fiction online on my website and on Gumroad.com. And if that wasn’t enough, I’ve published my first videos (and gotten my first Youtube strike ;))
Sex Doll
And, this year I also got the chance to review a sex doll: Candice by Tantaly.com. And she was another step up from Britney, which I reviewed earlier. Unwrapping the doll made me realize how much I love my job 😀
So yes, 2021 was a full year for lizblackx.nl and lizxlikes.com. 2022 is going to begin well. I have already received the next toys; the first reviews are scheduled for January. And another toy is also on its way. Tiny hint: it’s going to be a big shock :p So yes, my site has changed, but it’s still alive and kicking, and I can’t wait to see where the new year is going to take me. Happy New Year!
I have noticed you are writing less personal posts, and thought this was because we all started dipping into Medium, and having to juggle our time between our blogs and there. It’s great that the bigger companies want to work with you. Your sex toy reviews are quality work and who wouldn’t want their products in there! Keep up the good work, Liz, also that darker fiction 😉

It’s a combination of not finding many prompts to write blog posts about and thus not having the deadline and thinking I have written everything already. I know that’s not true, but sometimes it feels that way :p

While I do miss your more personal posts, I love your fiction. I promise to continue writing for your EFD meme. It works perfectly for flash fiction, which is my focus this coming year for my fiction writing.
I was struggling to come up with new personal posts this year. I too have sort of burnt out on many memes and am only sticking with a few this year.
